On March 25th, we resolved an issue where, the 'Alignment Device' could grant an option one tier lower than the guaranteed tier when readjusting Ancestors Modules.
Subsequently, to verify if the same issue exists in other systems, we conducted a comprehensive investigation into the entire readjustment logic, including Weapon Readjustment and Equipping Enhancement Cores.
We sincerely apologize for any confusion this situation has caused.
Below is a summary of our findings, our action plan, the scope of impact, and the compensation we have prepared for you.
■ The Result of the Comprehensive Inspection
While this notice is addressed to all service regions, the findings of this comprehensive review include data updates to 'NEXON NOW' and adjustments to option tier criteria linked to those updates. As such, we would like to provide this preliminary explanation so that Descendants in regions where 'NEXON NOW' website is not available may also understand the intent behind these changes and their scope of impact.
For Descendants in regions where 'NEXON NOW' is not displayed, the changes related to option and value disclosures included in this notice will have no additional impact on any actual gameplay results or option performance.
1) 'Options and Values' Display Issue in 'NEXON NOW'
- Upon reviewing data of Ancestors Modules listed on the 'NEXON NOW', we identified some data registration error on the website.
No discrepancies were found in the 'Set Value' probabilities listed on the website; however, some of the 'Options and Values' information was inaccurate.
The information will be updated with the corrected values following Hotfix 1.3.24b. [Go to 'NEXON NOW']

2) In-Game Tier Display Issue
- Upon reviewing the data for 'Weapon Readjustment' and 'Augmentation Core Equipment', it was confirmed that in rare cases, the tier displayed for an option value in-game differed by one tier from the actual tier obtained.
Please note that this issue did not affect the actual option values; it is strictly a display issue regarding the tier.
Following the Hotfix 1.3.24b, the system will be updated so that the server, the client and NEXON NOW all reference the same value table, in order to prevent this issue from recurring.
Following the adjustments to the tier value table, the in-game tier display may differ depending on the option tier criteria and tier thresholds in NEXON NOW.
- Example (Shotgun Lv. 1-20 Options): In the case of Multi-Hit Damage at 6.8%, the tier will change from Rare to Normal following the Hotfix.

- All Equipment & Modules with option tiers (Weapons, Reactors, External Components, Ancestors Modules, Trigger Modules), Weapon Readjustment, Augmentation Core Equipment, and Ancestors Modules Readjustment
3) Changes After the Deployment:
- During the transition of the tier value table, the boundary values of option ranges will be adjusted to reflect more precise data.
- For Weapon Readjustment, Augmentation Core, and Trigger Modules, boundary values will be raised, resulting in a slight increase in the probability of obtaining the maximum value within the highest tier range.
- The actual in-game values for Ancestors Modules remain unchanged and are functioning correctly. The 'NEXON NOW' display error ('Options and Values') will be corrected.
However, due to the aforementioned 'NEXON NOW' display error (Options and Values), some thresholds may appear to have been lowered when compared to the initially published ranges. This process corrects inaccurate displays to precise values; it does not reduce actual in-game option performance or probabilities.
The probability of options being granted remains unchanged across all systems.
- Due to the tier adjustment, your existing Junk Filter settings may affect the Dismantle behavior of equipment (Weapons, Reactors, External Components) you are currently using.
ㄴ After the patch, please review the tier of your equipment and adjust your equipped items settings or Junk Filter accordingly.
As a result of the boundary value adjustment, the option values of items currently in your possession will remain unchanged; however, the tier display associated with those values may appear one tier lower in some cases.
We sincerely apologize for any confusion this has caused.
Please be advised that actual values and game performance are not affected in any way.
Going forward, you will be able to obtain tiers that meet the new criteria through Weapon Readjustment.
Following the table transition, the published data on 'NEXON NOW' will be updated all together to reflect accurate values across all systems.
■ Compensation for the Inconvenience
As an expression of our sincere apology for the confusion caused to Descendants during the Comprehensive Inspection of the 'Alignment Device' issue and overall Readjustment logic, we have prepared the following compensation.
- First, as an apology for the 'Alignment Device' tier guarantee error, we have prepared items related to the Alignment Device.
- Second, we have prepared additional compensation for Descendants who may have experienced inconvenience regarding the overall Readjustment system during the Comprehensive Review process.

Going forward, we will implement a cross-validation system to ensure server-side calculation results and client-side display results are consistent.
We will also add tier guarantee and boundary value test cases to our QA scenarios to prevent similar issues from recurring.
Furthermore, we will introduce an anomaly detection system for Readjustment option value distribution within our live monitoring metrics and will continue to do our utmost to provide a reliable experience for all our Descendants.
