Greetings, Descendants.

 

Here are the major issues that were found for The First Descendant in March.

 

We will continually update this notice with any additional issues and bugs that are found, as well as any impactful issues identified before March. Please keep track of the updates during your gameplay.

 

[March 17th]

■ (#8) (Resolved) An issue where the name of a researched item is displayed incorrectly in mail sent upon completing research through the Companion App

- An issue has been identified where the researched item name is displayed incorrectly in notification mail sent when research is completed through the Companion App.

 

[March 12th]

■ (#5) (Resolved) An issue where the Descendant’s movement stops in certain in-game videos

- An issue has been identified where the Descendant’s movement becomes fixed in certain in-game videos.

 

(#8) (Resolved) An issue where the Party Member List HUD is intermittently not displayed

- An issue has been identified where the Party Member List HUD is intermittently not displayed.

 

(#7) (Resolved) An issue where the ‘Condemnation Stage’ is intermittently not consumed properly when using the Ultimate Weapon “Crime and Punishment” Special Attack

- When using the Special Attack of “Crime and Punishment,” the ‘Condemnation Stage’ should decrease by 2 stages, but an issue has been identified where it is intermittently not consumed or only decreases by 1 stage.

- This issue is scheduled to be fixed in Patch 1.3.22.

 

(#8) (Resolved) An issue where the updated Module Option value display format is not applied in Companion App > Library > Game Info > Modules

- An issue has been identified where the improved Module Option value display format introduced in Update 1.3.21 is not properly applied in the Companion App.

- In-game, the multiplier (x) format has been changed to a percentage (%) format, and this will be fixed in the Companion App before March 21.

 

■ (#7) (Resolved) Void Intercept Battle: Challenge – “Ice Maiden” reward source not displayed in Library

- An issue has been identified where “Intercept Battle: [Challenge][Ice Maiden]” does not appear in the Library → Acquisition Info list for items obtainable by defeating Ice Maiden.

- Although it is not displayed in Info, rewards are being granted normally when clearing Void Intercept Battle: Challenge – Ice Maiden.

- This issue is scheduled to be fixed in Patch 1.3.22.

 

(#7) (Resolved) An issue where “Coupon Available” is displayed on some items marked as “Owned” when holding a Shop Discount Coupon

 

[March 4th]

■ (#3) (Resolved) An issue where the rotation speed of certain Descendant skills does not apply correctly when using both controller sticks

- We have identified an issue where the rotation speed of certain skills for Dia and Gley does not apply correctly when using both sticks on a controller.

 

[March 2nd]

■ (#2) (Updated) An issue where the Battle Pass Weekly Challenge “Limit Breakthrough” does not count when researching “Energy Activator” via the Companion App

- We have identified an issue where progressing “Energy Activator” research through the Companion App does not count toward the Battle Pass Weekly Challenge “Limit Breakthrough.”

- When completing “Complete Research” missions from the Battle Pass, events, or similar content, progress may not be counted if the reward is claimed through the Companion App.

- To ensure the mission is completed properly, please claim the research completion item in-game.

 

[Previous Known Issues]

■ (#3) (Resolved) An issue where the number of times Void Erosion Purge Stage 10 is cleared is not reflected in the Count for the HQ Special Order “Erosion Purge Operation”

- Until this issue is fixed, you can progress this Special Order by clearing Void Erosion Purge Stages 1–9.

 

■ Intel CPU Issue

- Crashes have been reported on some Intel 13th and 14th generation CPUs.

- On PCs using these CPUs, the game may forcefully shut down with an error message stating 'Out of video memory' when launched.

This issue can be partially resolved by adjusting power limits in the BIOS.

- We are awaiting a response from Intel regarding this issue, and we are sharing Intel's official response for your reference.

 

■ Temporary solutions for client termination issues with certain antivirus Programs

- We have requested for exceptions for The First Descendant to antivirus programs, but some have not been implemented. Below are temporary solutions for this problem.

(1) ‘Bitdefender’ Temporary Solution [FAQ]

- Go to System Protection > Advanced Threat Detection (ATD) > Manage Exclusions menu, select the file or folder for The First Descendant, and save.

(2) ‘McAfee Agent’ Temporary Solution [FAQ]

- Go to McAfee Security > Navigation > Quarantined and Trusted Items, select TheFirstDescendant.exe from the quarantined programs list, and restore it.

 

■ Solutions for ‘Easy Anti-Cheat’ not functioning correctly

- If Easy Anti-Cheat malfunctions, refer to the FAQ for solutions. If the issue persists, please contact customer support with relevant screenshots.
