🔥 Fire Control / Burn DoT Playstyle – Build Overview
Core Philosophy
- Stay at range
- Control space
- Let Burn + debuffs do the killing
- You’re not a brawler — you’re a walking wildfire with crowd control.
🧠 Combat Loop (Rinse & Repeat)
- Maintain Distance
- Keep enemies as far away as possible.
- Rain damage using Spicey Meatballs (1st Ability).
- Zone Control
- Do everything you can to keep enemies from closing in.
- Terrain control + timing is everything.
- Crowd Control with Hypernova
- Hypernova is your best friend.
- Use her special towing ability to group or stall enemies.
- Burn Taste (3rd Ability)
- Use when enemies get too close or
- When enemies are already crowd-controlled for maximum value.
- Strong because it’s both Emission AND Continuous Damage.
- Deadly Feast (4th Ability)
- Prioritize Elites (yellow HP) and Bosses.
- This is your heavy hitter and payoff skill.
- Resource Management
- Refill your custom resource with:
- Spicey Meatballs (1st Ability)
- Burn Taste (3rd Ability)
- Refill MP with:
- Temperature Check (2nd Ability)
- Refill your custom resource with:
- Repeat

What it does
- On skill hit, applies a Fire vulnerability debuff.
Debuff Effect
- Reduces enemy Fire Skill Resistance
- Duration: 10 seconds
- Resistance reduction:
- Fire Skill Power Boost Ratio × 12.5%
- Max: −20%
- Cooldown per target: 30 seconds
✅ This means:
- First skill hit “primes” the enemy
- All following fire damage hits harder
- Benefits your entire team, not just you
🔥 Fire Brand (External Components Set)
2-Piece Bonus
- Skill Effect Range +6.5%
- Skill Duration +6.5%
- Bigger burn zones, longer DoTs
4-Piece Bonus
- Movement Speed −5% (minor downside)
- When hitting a Burning enemy with a Fire Skill:
- Fire Resistance −30% for 10 seconds
🔥 This is huge — and it stacks with Fire Chain Catalyst.
🧠 How Everything Stacks Together
- Burn effects trigger Infected Weapon
- Fire Chain Catalyst applies fire vulnerability on skill hit
- Fire Brand (4-piece) further shreds fire resistance on burning targets
- Enemies end up with:
- Reduced Fire Resistance
- Continuous DoT ticking
- Bonus damage when hit by Unique Weapon skills
On a fire-centric Descendant (like Blair), this turns elites and bosses into slow-cooking health bars.
☣️ Infected Weapon — Trigger Module Breakdown
Effect
- Hitting an enemy with a Continuous Damage skill applies Arche Infection
- Hitting an infected enemy with your Unique Weapon skill deals bonus damage
Key Details
- Arche Infection duration: ~5 seconds
- Infection tick damage:
- ~265%–855% Skill Power (periodic ticks)
- Bonus damage on Unique Weapon hit:
- ~95%–475% Skill Power
- Does not modify base weapon stats — pure proc value
